Simulates the shoreline of a small forest stream including a miniature waterfall and a water section. Since the Rainforest Rapids consists of open-celled foam combined with circulating water, it provides efficient biological Filter as well as a hydroponics system for growing plants. Rainforest Rapids offers the opportunity for creating a showpiece display that combines running water, live plants, and animals. Recommended for: Fire-bellied toads, dart frogs and other high moisture/high humidity amphibians, freshwater crabs, miniature fish (killifish, guppies, etc.) and freshwater shrimp. Ideal for 20 gallon high Aquarium (not for 20 gallon long tanks). Hand-carved by artisans, so no two backgrounds look the same. An opening in the base allows you to add a standard submersible pump (not included), which will allow the filter to operate as a water Filter. A self-sustaining environment will be created as healthy bacteria colonize in the pores over time. Approximately 24" x 14-1/2" x 12" deep. |
